Comments: Hi
Lovely website! We have what we think is an Otterhound. We rescued him from RSPCA Chobham in September 1998. He is showing his age now, but can still sniff out water in drought-stricken Surrey! He certainly looks like an Otterhound, apart from having shorter ears.... Is there any way we could check his history?
Thanks Alison

Comments: We are just about 6 months into life with DreamMaker whom we have the pleasure of offering a retirement home to from Maria at Tecklegarth. She is great and likes her comfy sofa. That being said, we climbed Aira Force water fall in the lakes last weekened and she loved it! Nose did not stop!! So pleased to hear of J and K litters at Tecklegarth, lets hope rest of year carries on the same.
Admin reply: DreamMaker has always been a favourite of mine, hope you have many years of fun together. Mike
Comments: I loved your comments on the breed and hope you can keep things up to date. I am very concerned about the reported numbers of the breed especially in the UK and hope you might give us your perpective on the recent report of the BBC on the 600 Otterhounds in the world. Thanks for making a positive outlook on the dogs. I find them incredible companions.
Admin reply: They are the best in world and no doubt

Comments: Sorry but I don't want to be negative in this email. I followed a number of links to get here and found your very interesting breed details. Interesting enough to want to ask a few questions. However your "contact us" page only works if you have an Internet Outlook setup. For the rest of the internet there is no way to get a contact email address from looking though the pages on-screen. Not a problem for me but you might be losing a few contacts. Do put up a contact address. Don't rely on the Contact Us link as not everyone uses Outlook. I'm sure it will help you re-build the breed. Best of luck Cheers Bob
Admin reply: Sorry you may have had a little trouble Bob, thanks for your advice but I think most of the world relies on MS so leaving as is for now.

Comments: My son is very interested in having an Otterhound puppy, so I have spent some time this afternoon researching the breed. We already have an Irish Setter and a very active Springer, so I was prepared to find them a bit too big. After looking through all the text and photos on the sites of UK registered breeders I now have to admit that I have fallen in love with the ultimate shaggy dog. I will be contacting breeders within reasonable travelling distance and meet them before deciding, but I am probably convinced already. It is not just looks - their character shines through the shagginess! I would welcome contact from anyone with puppies but accept that I will most probably need to wait for quite a while.
